Who we are

Pension Helper is a trading name of The Gaffer Group Limited (company number 11790164), registered address 12 Audley Road, Saffron Walden, CB11 3HW. We are the data controller for personal information you share with us via this site.

What we collect

Your name and email address when you ask a question via the site; any additional details you choose to include (phone number, age, the nature of your pension, your question and any supporting notes); and, if you request an adviser introduction, the topic you'd like advice on and any details you share about your situation.

If you go on to purchase a piece of Pension Helper work, we'll collect what we need to do that work — this is described at the point we agree the scope of the piece.

How we use it

To reply to your question and to deliver any work you've engaged us to do. If you've agreed, we may send you occasional useful pension tips and updates by email — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.

Our email platform is MailerLite. Question submissions and subscriber details are stored on their systems under a data-processing agreement.

Adviser introductions

If you request an introduction to a regulated adviser, we share the details you provide with a qualified FCA-regulated advice firm so an adviser can contact you. We do not share your details with any other party for marketing.

How long we keep it

We retain question submissions and related correspondence for as long as we might reasonably need them to help you (typically 24 months from your last contact), after which they are deleted. Paid engagement records are retained as required for tax and professional reasons, usually seven years.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold on you, correct anything that's wrong, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Email hello@pensionhelper.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
